Dear friends of the Alpine Lakes Tour,
Since 2013, we have shared an incredible adventure together. Whether you braved the 4°C water of the GlaGla Race, paddled underground in Saint-Léonard or at 2000m altitude in the Aosta Valley or Tignes, or even took part in the Dragon World Championships with Red Paddle, you are part of those who have written the history of the Alpine Lakes Tour.
It is this shared passion for “out of the box” experiences that has always guided us. And it is in the name of this commitment that we wanted to share an important decision with you.
In 2024, after 10 intense editions, we took a first break for the GlaGla Race, with the desire to find new inspiration and to see you in January 2026.
Over the years, the GlaGla Race has become much more than a race. It’s a myth. It’s the craziest, most emblematic event of our desire to go beyond the beaten path.
And because this is the case, this event tolerates no half-measures. To organize it “on the cheap” or without the incredible energy that defines it would be to betray its spirit and your expectations.
Today, our commitment to innovation is pushing us toward new horizons. We are currently scouting to create brand new stages for the 2026 Alpine Lakes Tour! Formats true to our DNA: unique, authentic, and as passionate as ever.
Rather than dividing our efforts, we have chosen excellence.
We will dedicate our energy in 2026 to the renewal and growth of the Alpine Lakes Tour, and we are postponing the next edition of the GlaGla Race to January 2027.
Yes, a two-year break is huge. This is the time we feel is necessary to dedicate ourselves 100% to the 2026 circuit, and to prepare the 2027 edition of the GlaGla Race with all the ambition, magic, and madness it deserves.
The GlaGla adventure is not over. It is preparing.
To write the next page of this legend in 2027, we need to unite our energies. More than just a call, we want to create a true movement of support.
That’s why we are calling on everyone who loves this event: if you want to encourage, help, and support the return of the GlaGla Race, let us know!
