Le Grand-Bornand, partner of the Glagla Race 2023
Le Grand-Bornand has been a partner of the GlaGla Race since 2020. We are very happy with this partnership with this ski resort and this mountain village of the Aravis, very close to Talloires. Skiing at sunset facing the Aravis range, strolling between its century-old chalets, meeting its farmers, artists, shopkeepers and craftsmen and gathering around a famous farmer’s Reblochon: it is all these moments that make a holiday of he winter in Le Grand-Bornand is a unique experience… and contribute to making it an endearing place that belongs to all of us by sharing a very singular art of living.
Due to the many values shared with the event and stand up paddle practice, Le Grand-Bornand’s commitment to the organization of the GlaGla Race is obvious.
Sporting values marked by a « glide spirit » common between ski and paddle and the complementarity of mountains and nautical activities, which contribute to make the Annecy Mountains territory a playground outdoor must in any season.
Commitment and performance values. A commitment from the organizers of the Glagla Race, which is a reflection of the station’s commitment in its event policy, making reference today (Biathlon World Cup, Festival « Au Bonheur des Mômes », Glisse en Coeur, Tour de France,…). A commitment from the participants of the Glagla Race that we find in the intensity of practices of mountain activities and the intensity with which Le Grand-Bornand lives, including a whole village invests for its development.
The search for the performance of the GlaGla Race competitors is also in line with that of the Bornandins ski champions, led by Tessa Worley and Benjamin Daviet as leaders, Le Grand-Bornand, land of champions, today has 16 Olympic and Paralympic medals, 35 world medals and 7 crystal globes.
Finally, just like the practice of a « leisure » paddle, to live Le Grand-Bornand is to take your time, to take the time to discover and contemplate inimitable landscapes, to take the time to enjoy a territory at rhythm of his desires: sport, relaxation, healing, discoveries and encounters.
Complementary experiences for a shared adventure between the Glagla Race and Le Grand-Bornand!
